This was my first time ever making ice cream! The flavor was spot on. It was so creamy and light and cooling. However, the texture was a bit softer than I would have liked. This melted very quickly.

This is so good! Mint chocolate chip was my favorite flavor when I was little, so it brings back good memories :) This is probably the best homemade ice cream I've made so far. It tastes like Bryer's in my opinion--but even better. Thanks for sharing!

Great, whole family gave thumbs up. I had large chocolate chips, put them in heavy duty baggie and crushed them with a rolling pin (okay, I beat them with rolling pin and it was kind of fun!). I also had only one cup of cream, but used 2 cups of half and half and remainder nonfat milk, worked well with what I had on hand. Thanks! (used more food coloring too but just for effect because obviously doesn't change taste). Made it in advance and refrigerated the whole day and could just pop it in ice cream maker after dinner while swimming (soaking up summer evenings)!

My family loves this recipe and it has gone over well at parties. In some stores you can find Andes Mint Chips, which makes it even better!

Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream is my favorite and I am so happy to have a fantastic recipe so I can make it myself. Our ice cream maker just finished freezing the ice cream and it is so good. We apparently have a much larger ice cream freezer, so I had to make about 2 1/2 times what is listed here. I used 1/2 tsp salt, 3 tsp mint extract, 2 tsp vanilla, 1 1/2 c miniature chocolate chips, 2 c sugar, 4 c cream, and nonfat milk to fill line. I also chose to leave out the food coloring. Thanks for sharing this wonderful recipe!

I used 2 cups skim milk, 2 cups 15% thick cream. And 1 cup splenda. I used more than 3 drops green food coloring. When we added (me and DS) the chocolate chips, something happened with my ice cream machine. DS put his chin on the top of it and after it was always jamming. So I had to put the ice crema in a container and in the freezer. So I think the consistency was not right. But I was able to take a photo but probably not the best. The taste is great even though I reduced the fat and used splenda. Thanks Lainey. Made for Photo tag
