Nice and refreshing. Sure beats anything you can buy at the store! Cook time is chill time.
- Place sugar and 2 cups of water in a sauce pan.
- Heat until sugar dissolves Pour sugar water, lemon juice and remaining water into a gallon pitcher.
- Chill for several hours or overnight.
I love this recipe so im gonna use it when i move to australia to cope with the heat cuz it is summer there. I make it almost every day i can and it is not too sweet and not too sour. :)
Scaled this down for one serving. Used the leftover juice from the lemons I was using for dinner since I didn't need all the juice. So I ended up with 4 Tbsp of fresh-squeezed juice which I mixed with 4 T sugar and 1 1/4 cup of cold water. Perfect! Not too sweet, not too tart. :D I'm very happy, been craving lemonade for several days now for some reason and making it homemade makes me feel better about what I'm drinking. Thanks CJ White! :) I'll use this recipe often.
