This is great for injuries and keeping beverages cool.
- 709.77 ml water
- 236.59 ml rubbing alcohol
- Mix, then seal in a freezer bag, then encase in a second bag.
- Place in the freezer.
- Note: The more alcohol you use, the softer the pack will be, making it more gentle on injuries than an ice pack.
This is an awesome recipe! Nicely conforms to any body part and seems extra cold! ;-)
Earlier this year I had such a horrible cough that I dislocated a rib. OUCH! This gel pack really helped because I was able to use a gallon size freezer bag and wrap it around my ribcage. I used a few drops of blue food coloring so everyone would know what it was when they opened the freezer. Thanks for posting this!!
After knee surgery, we needed an ice pack for my airedale mix dog. This worked out perfect as it would conform to her leg.
