- Place the cornflour in a saucepan and mix to a smooth paste with a little of the water.
- Add all of the remaining water, the soap flakes and the dettol or eucalyptus oil.
- Heat and stir until the paint mixture thickens. Do not boil.
- Pour into separate containers and add a different food colouring to each container. Cover with lids.
- The paint will store in the refrigerator for a few days to a week.
- NOTE: If you are worried about children eating the paint, do not add any dettol or eucalyptus oil. The paint will then only keep for a few days.

I loved the idea of this but I had a little trouble when making it, it just didn't want to thicken. I ended up adding a bit more cornflour with water to get it to thicken up but when it cooled it ended up being more like glue than paint. Little Miss DD still had fun with it but I would have liked it closer to a paint consistency.
