A healthy alternative to oh so yummy authentic falafel. It's great wrapped up in a pita with fresh veggies and yogurt sauce, on a bed of greens or served as and appetizer.

They were easy to make. However, they fell apart when done. The taste was OK though albeit a bit dry. Also, a lot more oil was needed than the one tablespoon stated. Thanks for posting. Made for PAC, Autumn 2008.

Ingredients Nutrition


  1. Place all ingredients in except olive oil in a food processor and process until a paste is formed.
  2. Heat oil over med-high heat.
  3. Drop paste by rounded tablespoon into heat oil and flatten. Fry until golden brown on both sides.
