Homemade Fabric Softening Recipe

"We are The Technomancers Lego League team. We have a goal to cut down on waist by encouraging people to NEVER purchase liquid fabric softener. The containers and the chemicals dumped back in our sewage can be avoided. We came up with ideas to soften clothes and cut down on static cling. One of those ideas is our very own homemade recipe of liquid fabric softening. This homemade fabric softener is so easy to make and all natural! What's not to love? Our Coach has used this recipe on many loads of laundry and absolutely loves the result."

• Yields: 32 Loads of laundry
• Serves: 32

ingredients

• 1⁄4 cup coconut oil
• 1 tablespoon emulsifying wax
• 1 quart white distilled vinegar
• 10 drops of your favorite essential oils

directions

1. Melt the Emulsifying wax and coconut oil together in the microwave or double boiler. If using the microwave, do 30 seconds or 1 minute at a time and check. The wax needs to be completely melted.
2. In your blender, put about 1 cup of the vinegar in and turn the blender on BEFORE you poor in the melted wax and oil. So! Poor the melted wax and oil into your vinegar while it is being blended.
3. Add you essential oil in while the blender is still on.
