I got this easy recipe from my sister-in-law's family. I love egg nog, and this is better than you can buy at the store.
- 2 (12 ounce) cans evaporated milk (Pet brand preferred)
- 2 (12 ounce) cans water
- 2 1⁄2 cups powdered milk
- 8 cups water
- 2 cups sugar
- 8 egg yolks, beaten
- 8 egg whites
- In large pot, heat up all ingredients except whiskey and eggs.
- Separate eggs.
- Return yellows to milk mixture.
- Beat egg whites with a little sugar to form peak.
- Return to milk mixture.
- Add whiskey to taste.
My husband loves Eggnog and asked me to find a recipe to make it for him. I typically don't drink it, but this was GREAT!!!
