  1. I love curry but most commercial types include allspice. Not good for me as I am highly allergic. I was thrilled to find this easy and allspice-free substitute. Thanks Debber. Made for ZWT 4.

  2. I just started using curry this year for ZWT4. I thought I did not like it. It must have just been that Curried pork, I eat 20 years ago and did not like it. I'm glad I tried it again as the family likes it too. I mixed this up for the *Spice It Up In Africa Challenge* when I needed it to make Recipe #289110. I'd just add more of this curry next time I make this recipe. Debber, thank you for posting this recipe. I made this for *Zaar World Tour 4* 2008 round 3 the *African Region* I'm playing on the team *Tastebud Tickling Travelers*

  3. This didn't come out tasting like any of the curry powders I have, but I like it. I actually tasted a little on a fruit salad to get the idea of it and liked it. I also used it in Recipe #305390 and Recipe #229821 and it seemed to work.

  4. Nice spice blend -- everything being freshly ground makes it smell and taste so much better than storebought. I admit that I missed the sweetness of the stuff I usually buy at the store a little bit (maybe it's the turmeric I was missing?), but if you like the basic flavors of curry minus the pronounced sweet element, this is a good blend for you. I might wangle with this one a bit to add the sweetness to suit my personal tastes, because it's a great spice blend in all other respects. Makes a big batch, too -- I halved the recipe due to available supplies, and I still had more than enough to completely fill one of those tall, black topped McCormick spice bottles. Thanks for posting! Made for ZWT4
