I remember my mom making this when I was a kid...it's so rich and chocolatey. Be careful not to overcook as you may scorch it.
- Mix cocoa, cornstarch, and sugar in saucepan.
- Add milk Cook over medium heat until thick.
- Add vanilla and stir Great served warm or cold.
This is a perfect recipe! I made it for my chocolate graham cracker pie and it was delicious. This is so much better than instant or the cook mix, and I don't think that it takes that much longer to prepare than it does to do the cooking mix. As far as the instant goes, the flavor doesn't even compare. It is well worth the little extra effort!
This pudding tastes very good. The first time I made it, it turned out just right, unlike another recipe I tried. If you use 3/4 cup sugar it will still taste good.
I wanted to try this as soon as I saw it! This was dessert for today after lunch. It was nice, but just a little less sweeter than our taste. I'll add about 1/4 cup more of sugar next time and about 1/4 tsp. more of essence. Thanks for posting!
