  2. We love this recipe, and I've used the technique for many other things, but - as written, I can't handle it - way too rich - and not too rich as compared to store bought pudding - way too rich as compared to chocolate fudge icing. I used raw sugar and reduced the amount of sugar to under a cup (if I used regular sugar, I'd probably use 3/4 of a cup) and cut the amount of chocolate chips by a third, and am left with an incredible rich and chocolatey pudding.

  3. sI was not overly-impressed with this recipe. I used all the same ingredients, but prepared it much like I do pastry cream I make at my job; that is, I scalded the milk and sugar, tempered the egg yolks, cooked it until it was good and thick, then poured it over the chocolate and mixed it on low speed of my stand mixer before chilling it. The flavor was OK, but sI found it too sweet even for my taste, plus it seemed to me to be a waste of so much otherwise good chocolate.

  4. This was very simple to make with basic ingredients most people have on hand. This makes very rich pudding, more like mousse. But if you're used to boxed instant, this will of course be overwhelming in it's fabulous-ness. I could only eat about 1/4 cup of it for dessert. A quality recipe. Thanks!

  5. This recipe was so simple and easy. I love that it can be made the simple things that are already around the house. My kids loved it. I use a little bit less than a whole bag of chocolate chips, and double the vanilla. My special little twise though, was this; I took an instant pie crust and put it into little mini muffin pans, then filled the little crusts full of the pudding to make little chocolate tarts. It was great, and had plenty pudding left over to enjoy by itself. Thank you!
