I made this on 01/13/03 with the boys. Very fun, easy and so good! Perfect on homemade bread. It tastes really fresh. YUMMY!!!!
- You will also need a jar with tight lid.
- Shake whipping cream and salt in jar until butter separates from the buttermilk.
- Wring buttermilk out of the butter and serve.
- Makes about a stick and a half worth of butter.

My children make this traditionally every year for our Thanksgiving dinner. If you don't have a jar, just use the mixer. That's what we always use and it's easy. The kids are always proud to serve their butter for dinner. :)
