Homemade BBQ Sauce

"This is a good sauce in a pinch when you don't have any BBQ sauce on hand."

 

• Ready In: 5mins
• Ingredients: 4
• Yields: 1/3 cup

ingredients

• 3 tablespoons brown sugar
• 1⁄4 cup catsup
• 1 teaspoon dry mustard
• 1⁄4 teaspoon nutmeg

directions

1. Combine all ingredients.
2. Use anywhere you would use BBQ sauce.

Amazing recipe, very tasty.....I didn't have BBQ sauce and tried this on pork ribs...I will be trying this on many different meats. Yummy!!

Made for 123 hits and the Hot off the grilll theme in Kitchen Special Event. We don't like our bbq sauce too sweet so I added only 2 tbsp of brown sugar and I also added a shot of wrcestershire sauce to give it a bit more zing...as stated this is great in a pinch when you run out.

Nice sauce to throw together when in a pinch. The flavors were nice but my DS said it was a bit too sweet so next time I'm going to drop down the brown sugar to about 2 tbls. I'm wondering if using a bit of honey in place of the brown sugar would work to give it that honey BBQ flavor. Hmmm?? Thanks for posting! Made for 123 Hit Wonders.

I was somewhat surprised by this BBQ. I didn't expect it to be as good as it was. I did think that it was a little too sweet so next time I will start with 2 tbsp of brown sugar & add more if I need it. Made for Newest Zaar Tag
