I absoltely loved the crock-pot idea. What a unique and different approach to chocolate covered peanuts. I used milk chocolate chips and also the chocolate/caramel combo chips. Turned out fantastic. thanks for the idea Chef1mom~
Love it, love it, love it! This was such a low-maintenance way to make chocolate-covered peanuts-pour it in, stir it every 15 minutes, plop it onto waxed paper to cool. Awesome! I used the combination of 1 bag of milk chocolate chips with half a bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips and a quarter bag of white chocolate chips. The end result chocolate flavor could not have been more perfect and I would make it exactly like that again next time. These got raving reviews from all who tried them and we'll definitely be making them again. Thank you!
Step aside or get pushed out of the way when the family or group spot these. So easy and a sure fire winner. I used 60% dark chocolate, very rough chopped salted cashews (no peanuts on hand) and Lindt white chocolate. They looked amazing too, I added the nuts to the chocolate first to get them all covered and then added the white chocolate and mixed just enough to get marbled nut candies. This simple recipe is an all time keeper.
I love peanuts and chocolate together!! I am thinking that next time I might want to make some softened caramel, add some peanuts to make a cluster, then dip them into the chocolate, yum!!! Thanks so much for sharing the recipe. My white chocolate chips didn't want to melt and I think it got too hot and then seized up the chocolate in the end. I added some oil and it smoothed it out enough to keep and eat them without a problem. Thanks so much for sharing the recipe. Made for "I Recommend Tag Game".
This is sooooooo great! Loved the ease of prep and the yummy results! Totally delish!
The white and brown chocolate go great together and melt in your mouth. The roasted nuts are an unexptected crunch and make this special. I can see this being a great gift during holiday season or anytime really.
I scaled down to make 10 clusters and added about 2 tbs more nuts to get thicker clusters, but somehow ended up with only 7. Ah well, I might have made them bigger than you. No worries, next time, Ill make more for sure.
THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing a real winner with us, Connie!
I made it really easy for myself. :) Instead of measuring out 18 oz and 4 oz of chocolate I did 12 oz semi sweet chocolate chips and 12 oz white chocolate chips. It was perfect! I did 2 cups of roasted nuts as well. Unfortunately for my hips - this is where it's apparently going! lol Very yummy and very easy to make! Made for the March 2010 Aussie/NZ recipe swap.
Loved this recipe as did the grandkids. Easy to make with things I had in my pantry. Thank you for a great recipe Chef1Mom!
Very good and very simple to put such a tasty treat together in no time at all. Those are always the best kind of things to make. Thanks for posting. Made for 123 wonders game
