This is my stepdaughter's recipe for salsa. It is a wonderful salsa that will keep for a couple days in the fridge. It is best with garden fresh tomatoes, when you can find them.

Ingredients Nutrition

Directions

  1. Mix garlic with tomato sauce to make a paste.
  2. Add all ingredients (squeeze lime juice into mixture).
  3. Add garlic salt to taste.
  4. Mix together and refrigerate.

Excellent fresh salsa! There's nothing fancy about it, no exotic ingredients, but the texture and flavor are superior. This one does not create watery liquid at the bottom of the bowl at all, like other fresh salsas I have tried, but is nice and thick. Also pasting the garlic really brings out it's full flavor. I used ripe medium tomatoes, tomato paste for the tomato sauce and added 2 tbs lime juice and 2 tbs jalapeno juice from the jar. Superb!
