    A version of caramel corn, but using chex mix. Very easy and fast to make using the microwave.

    Ingredients:

    Servings:

    Units: US | Metric

    • 1 cup butter
    • 2 cups brown sugar
    • 1 pinch salt
    • 1/2 cup Karo syrup
    • 1 teaspoon baking soda
    • 17 ounces Corn Chex or 17 ounces Rice Chex
    • 1 cup dry roasted peanuts
    • 1/2-1 lb M&M'

    Directions:

    1. 1
      In saucepan,combine butter,brown sugar,salt and karo syrup. Boil for 1 1/2 minutes. Take off heat and add baking soda. Place chex mix and peanuts in a large paper bag. Add heated mixture. Microwave for 1 1/2 minutes, 3 times.( Shake bag between each cooking time.) Pour out on wax paper to cool. Separate pieces as it is cooling, and add M&M's.
