This is just superb! I used hot sauce instead of the chilli paste, very tasty. This ones a definite keeper.

Since I love the flavor of Hoisin sauce, i was lured into trying this simple salmon recipe. Very delicious, especially the tasty sesame seeds. I would make a little extra sauce next time to drizzle on the cooked salmon, since most of my sauce slid off the fish, onto the pan. I served it with wasabi mashed potatoes, and wilted spinach with garlic and lemon. So glad you posted this recipe Julesong.

I really loved this, as did my husband. Easy and fast, but please go easy on the hoison so the fish doesn't lose it's flavor

This was very easy to throw together for a quick supper with rice pilaf and peas. The only thing I might do differently is to cook the fish in the microwave next time, as I find it makes for a moister, yet firm, fish fillet. Excellent taste. Thanks for posting.

Easy and delicious... just like other reviews have said. I served it with steamed squash and it was a winner.

I really loved this recipe. It was simple and delicious! I did not have sesame seed, but it still came out nicely. Thanks Julesong! I will make this again for sure

My fave type of recipe - really good - really easy!! I doubled this recipe, used siracha sauce in place of hot sauce, and increased the amount to 1T (I like things spicy). The siracha sauce gave it a subtle (I thought) kick. Because I had twice as many fillets in the dish, I I increased cooking time to 12-14 minutes. Fabulous!

This is an excellent recipe! Thanks Julesong! My hubby gave it an AAA+++!!! I changed just a few things. I added about 2 tbs minced scallion and 1 tbs minced garlic to the glaze. I added a tad bit of hot sauce since I didn't have chili paste and spinkled my piece with crushed red pepper and Emeril's since I like my food spicy. I was going to add a little orange juice but I forgot. I also forgot the sesame seeds. I'll try to remember them next time! I also topped it out of the oven with some more scallion. Served with home made teriyaki rice (from this site) and a steamer bag of mixed vegetables with asparagus! A winner for sure!!!

This tasted great. The family was alittle weary of it, but tried it and liked it. The only thing I think I would have done differantly would be the amount that I put on the salmon. To some the hoisin was a little over powering. So I think next time I will heat the extra sauce up and serve on the side and only slather on a thin layer on the fish. Over all this was great. Thank you for sharing.

We LOVED this salmon, it will be a favorite here. I trippled the sauce, used the chili paste and eyeballed the soy sauce and sesame oil because I wanted it to remain kind of thick. I completely forgot the sesame seeds, but will add them next time. I baked it with some of the sauce and then heated the rest on the stove top and served it on the side to dip. Scrumptious!

I made this last evening, and thought it was a good marinade. Unfortunately, my piece of salmon was gamey, which can happen with salmon. I think I will try it again on a different fish. I do believe that this sauce would go well on pretty much any fish, even orange roughy or halibut. Thanks for posting.

This is a great recipe .. easy and quick to make but looks and tastes impressive. I serve it with some noodles (hokkien) mixed with a little more sesame oil and steamed bok choy. Thank you.

I doubled the sauce ingredients and used this with a small whole salmon. Since it had the skin on, I basted it both on the outside and inside the cavity. The sauce and fish went really well with some rice and snow peas! While I still prefer my usual methods of making salmon (citrus marinades and/or topped with herbs), this made a very nice change, and I will make it again. Thank you!
