This was ok. It was a hot day, but the flavor was seriously lacking. But my hubby liked it. BUT he added Gyoza sauce to give it more flavor.
This is a delicious salad for a hot summer night's dinner and very easy to prepare. We all loved it. My daughter, who is very hard to please when it comes to salads, has begged me to make this salad for the second time this week. I used thinly sliced strips of turkey ham, cucumber, carrots and tomatoes over the noodles and made both dressings. The Sesame dressing seemed to be the favorite in our family. Yum! Thanks for sharing.
Love this refreshing salad. I had never had it before but it sounded good so I thought I'd give it a try. It's now one of my favorites! Thank you for posting.
This is my favorite thing to eat in the summer. I usually buy the noodles that come with dressing but this time I had noodles but no dressing. Zaar to the rescue! We liked both dressings in this recipe, though I was surprised at the difference in yields. I also used the stock from poaching the chicken instead of water. An even more strongly flavored stock could also be used, I think. We had chicken, cucumber, tomato, egg, ginger and shiitake cooked in soy sauce and sugar over the noodles, and ate our salads with hot Asian mustard. Thank you very much for this recipe.
I, too, miss being able to stop by the convenience store to pick up these salads. Thanks for reminding me that I can make these myself!
