OK twissis I HAVE to ask - what does "hityl?" stand for??? Made this for one of my DGSs who LOVES cinnimon to go over his ice cream and he loved it. My only problem (and it was MY problem) was I didn't know if you meant to use red hot cinnamon candies or the hard cinnamon candies. I decided to use the hard round ones by smashing them first and then following the recipe and I think that may have been a mistake as mine came out thinner and a not as pretty and red as the picture - but it still tasted great and DGS reall;y enjoyed. Next time though I think I'll try the red hots. Served over vanilla ice cream but intriqued by another reviewer who mentioned "apple dumplings"!! Yummy thought.people found this review Helpful. Chef Mommie thanks you! I must have told you how much I love simple recipes. This is on my to do list as soon as I can find a bag of red hots, and I already know it's a keeper!!! This is something that makes me want to over-eat! I had it on my oatmeal and in my coffee this morning. I had to have seconds! I usually like butter and sugar in my oatmeal, but this was all I needed. I added it to my coffee with some creamer and what a treat!!! I can't wait to try it on other things like ice cream and french toast. I only made half the recipe and I suggest that you make only what you will need. My leftovers have hardened (and I took a yummy bite) and I will see tomorrow, how they dissolve in the microwave. Thank you twissis! HITYL???people found this review Helpful.
