Hg's Mega Monsterburger - Ww Points = 6

"Thick & Thin Hey, Hardee's -- you're not exactly making it easy for us. It's one thing to whip up a guilt-free version of your basic burger, but that MASSIVE towering Monster Thickburger of yours is a different story. With TWO beefy burger patties, THREE layers of cheese, a DOUBLE order of crispy bacon, and a creamy slathering of mayo, that colossal caloriefest wasn't exactly a snap to swap. But, no food challenge is too large for HG (in fact, the harder they are, the MORE we love 'em!), and we managed to pull this one off with some staggeringly awesome stats. Our Mega MonsterBurger has more than THIRTY times LESS fat and just a fraction of the calories of that crazy Thickburger. Ours also has 6 times as much fiber and a whopping 46 grams of protein! Yeah, we're good. Serving Size: 1 sandwich Calories: 335 Fat: 3.5g Sodium: 1,817mg Carbs: 38g Fiber: 12g Sugars: 6g Protein: 46g POINTS® value 6*"

directions

  • If desired, toast bun and set aside.
  • In a pan sprayed with nonstick spray, cook bacon to desired crispiness over medium heat, flipping occasionally.
  • Prepare burger patties according to package directions (either in a pan with nonstick spray, or in the microwave). While still hot, top each patty with 2 strips of the cheese. Break bacon slices in half. Criss-cross 2 bacon halves over the bun bottom, and top with the remaining 2 strips of cheese. Stack both cheese-topped burger patties on top, and then criss-cross the other two bacon halves over that.
  • Lastly, smear the mayo on the inside of the top of the bun, and finish off your sandwich with it. Enjoy!

  1. Deliciously Mega for sure! I used wheat sandwich thins for the bun, and RF american chz rather than FF. I also added a pickle slice and lettuce to them. When entering it all into the recipe bulder of Ww I ended up w/ 10pts, but that's not bad at all for such a large and filling burger! Super quick and simple as well.

  2. I make a sandwich similar to this for my meat-loving husband as well & it is SO much better (for his health) than fast food. And it tastes great to him, too-he asks for it all the time. He uses pickles & ketchup-no mayo though (not really his thing). I only use one slice of low fat cheese (sliced in half) since fat free is kinda expensive, but it works fine. 2 slices of turkey bacon is a must, though! I also use a whole wheat hamburger bun. My husband also enjoys turkey chili with it, or on top of it as well (I leave off the bacon if he's going to do that, though!) Thank you for sharing this; hope others give it a try.

  3. My DH really liked this one, this is his rating. DH ate the first one w/o ketchup saying this was a 3, then had a small amount of ketchup on his second one and gave the burger a 4. The only reason that it was not a five star was that DH said that the burgers were a little dry. I personally liked them, I was only allowed one :( for points values. I think that for a little change to this burger the next time, I might replace the turkey bacon with some vegan, 99% FF chili to make a Hardees'/Carl's Jr. chili burger. Yumm!! Thanks HG!!
