Worked great! I needed chocolate syrup for another recipe and this was quick to make a great substitute. I cooked it a little longer, just to make sure the sugar was dissolved and it thickened a little as it cooled. My DH thinks it would be better to try using a vanilla bean rather than extract, just to avoid the alcohol taste from extract. Thanks for sharing this recipe, I'll be using it again.

This is a great recipe! I added a little cinnamon and use it to make iced coffee drinks that are yummmmm! Double the recipe and keep this chilled and on hand at all times. :)

Very tasty! My kids and I love it. It's so much better than buy the store stuff...loaded with crap!!! The cocoa flavor isn't lost in the the sugar. Even when cooled, it was still a little too runny so, I added a little corn starch. (...better that than High Fructose Corn Syrup) THANKS!

This was great...I did add a small amount of cornstarch dissolved in water because I wasnted a thicker sauce, and I cut back the sugar to around 2/3 cup and it was still very tasty. I served it over pancakes rolled around slices of banana and the whole family loved it.
