Addictive Chicken Tenders (One Taste and You're Addicted)

"I found this recipe on a low-carb site, (DH is doing a low-carb diet). I modified it some and DH says the name is very appropriate. He craves this so I end up making it once or twice a week. Good thing it is easy!"

Reviews

  1. I made these tonite for dinner and they ignited my taste buds! My husband actually commented on how good they were and the kids loved them! The only thing i did different was cook them on the George Foreman grill. This way, they werent greasy at all and they cooked superfast! I served them on a bed of angel hair pasta. Thanks so much for the delicious recipe. We will definetly have these again!

  2. It was okay. Halfway through baking, I needed to drain off excess liquid in the pan. The flavor was fine if you like oregano chicken. Maybe try varying the seasoning to find something we would like better--maybe Italian seasoning or a 2/3 basil-to-1/3 oregano mixture.

  3. Great recipe! I added some ground up cheddar crackers and chili flakes to add a little kick. I dipped them in olive oil instead of butter too. Thanks!

  4. Holy crap! I was a bit thrown off by the name, but the sure as heck live up to it. These things are amazing. I added some crushed red pepper flakes and it made them "pop". Served them with brown rice and seasoned black beans. WIll be making this again.

  5. Yup, easily become addicted to this wonderful recipe.

Tweaks

  1. I mixed the spices separate from the herbs. It made for a more uniform taste to dip in butter, then sprinkle with the spice mix, then herb mix, the the parmesan cheese. Baked on a rack for 28 minutes. Turned out great!

  2. I added half cup of seasoned panko breadcrumbs and garlic powder to the recipe. I also subbed olive oil for the butter. Turned out delicious! Almost tastes like they’re fried ;-) Side dish: garlic snow peas.

  3. I added garlic and onion powder and Italian seasoning instead of oregano and a shake of sage. A oven rack is good.

  4. no salt, half the oregano, added garlic powder, used olive oil instead of butter, and baked on a rack.

  5. Cut Parm in half & used 1/2 bread crumbs & less seasoning
