Have never had can tomatoes anyway even close to this before and we liked. Love how easy, budget friendly and taste this was. Got busy and ended up leaving it in the oven for an hour, but oh happy days it did not burn and was still plenty moist. Used fresh rosemary as we have lots in the yard and adds greatly to the tomatoes. Thanks for the post.

We really enjoyed this dish. It went great alongside spicy grilled Mexican style steaks. I forgot to put the butter on top, and it was still delicious! thanks for posting, I will make it again. Nick's Mom

Yum! I easily halved the recipe (I'm the only one who eats tomatoes), using a 14 oz can of diced tomatoes, partially drained. Very tasty and incredibly easy side dish. Fresh tomatoes would be even more delicious. Thanks, Dreamgoddess!

This is great. I have made it twice, and the butter on the top is an important part of the recipe. The second time I added corn and black beaans. It makes a great side dish, and with additions it can become a main dish. Great recipe.

I had never had tomatoes this way, but I loved them. The stuffing mix gives the perfect flavoring to the tomatoes. Will definitely make this dish again.

This was a pretty good side dish. I did change one thing - instead of adding real butter to the top, I added a fat-free butter (the liquid squeezable kind, not the spray). It probably would have been better with the real butter since it would have melted better and the stuffing crumbs would've gotten moist. With the butter I used it was pretty dry on top so next time I'll add some water with it or try the spray butter. I don't want to use regular butter since I'm on a low-fat diet. Thanks!

Dreamgoddess, you have another winner with this recipe. I made this today with fresh tomatoes and it was simply fantastic!!! Made as directed except I drizzled with olive oil instead of using the butter.

Tasty tomato casserole. We don't have boxed stuffing mix here, so I made my own. The seasonings are very good, although I did go a little heavier on the oregano. Added one small minced clove of garlic too - can't do anything tomato without garlic! Good side to bbq'd chops.
