This is an absolutely awesome dish. I have had this recipe for years and it is a great winter dish when you can't use the BBQ. You don't have to use the 3 lbs. of ribs; I just use whatever looks closest.

  1. Sprinkle ribs with salt& pepper.
  2. Heat oil in saucepan; saute onion until tender; add garlic.
  3. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 10 min.
  4. Parboil ribs, then place in a shallow pan.
  5. Cover with sauce.
  6. Bake at 375* for 30 min.

I cooked these because I wanted something different from the usual BBQ spareribs. I wasn't let down. They were really good. I love the herb flavors through the ribs and sauce. Well done. Thanks for the great recipe.

Wonderful flavor. The seasoning is very nice. I used a full cup of onion and another 1/2 cup of tomato sauce (to use the whole can). Boiled the spareribs for 30 minutes before baking. Very easy to prepare.
