Nice accompaniment for Italian dishes
- 1⁄2 cup butter
- 1⁄2 teaspoon thyme
- 1⁄2 teaspoon rosemary
- 1⁄2 teaspoon oregano
- 1⁄2 teaspoon basil
- 1 loaf French bread
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- parmesan cheese, grated
- parsley, minced
- In small saucepan, combine butter, thyme, rosemary, oregano, and basil-heat until butter is melted.
- Slice bread and generously brush with butter mixture.
- Sprinkle with garlic, cheese, and parsley.
- Bake at 425 degrees or broil until lightly browned.
The only change I did is I used half the butter and 1/4 cup olive oil. Very good.
This went real well along with spaghetti for a nice italian style dinner.
OMG this was AMAZING!!!! Rather than spinkling with garlic after, I put the garlic in with the melted butter mixture. I preferred the bread without the parmesan cheese. I will definately be adding this to a permantent favourite! Thanks for sharing!
