Very different- You can use any lemon-lime soda, and I'm sure diet works fine.

  1. In a bowl, mix the soup, Sprite, thyme, and butter into a sauce and set aside.
  2. Sprinkle the chicken with salt and pepper.
  3. Place the chicken in a casserole dish and pour the sauce over it.
  4. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour, until tender.
  5. Before serving add the water chestnuts, mushrooms and green peppers.
  6. Cook again only until these last ingredients are heated thoroughly.
