A crunchy, herbed flavor-filled snack! Prepare in less than 5 minutes; will be ready to eat in one hour. It's even better than any store-bought munchie! Eat this on movie night, or pack in lunches or for a camping trip. You can serve this at picnics, parties, gatherings, showers, weddings, etc: it goes a long way! This recipe is from a co-worker; I asked for the recipe after one bite of these seasoned crackers. Prep time includes 1 hour of marinating.
- 1 cup oil
- 1 envelope dry ranch dressing mix
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons dill seeds
- 2 packages of small oyster crackers
- Pour crackers into a 2 gallon, re-sealable baggie.
- Mix the first 4 ingredients and pour into cracker-filled baggie; shake to coat.
- Set for 1 hour, turning and coating.
I used Longaberger parmeson seasoning packet. That was delicious....still marinating but it sure tasted good after a few minutes. I added more dill as well.
Good one, dancing cook. We use dried dill weed instead of the seed, but next time, I'll try the seeds. We like plenty of dill, so glad to see you've added a whole two teaspoons.
These were easy to make and taste good, too! I didn't have ranch dressing so I substituted Italian and I also put them under the broiler for a few minutes to toast them. Thanks for posting!
