Herb Rub (Great for Pork or Chicken)

"I was looking for a rub recipe to use on pork chops and came across Recipe #89202. But I added al ot more herbs and this is what I came up with. It is delicious on pork chops and I'm sure it would be great on chicken also. This should be enough for 2-3 pork chops"

  1. I added 1/2 tsp salt and pepper, skipped the marjoram since I had none in the pantry, and ran it all through a spice grinder. It was very good! Taste was herby, rosemary was the strongest flavor. I might skip the oregano next time and add a bit of lemon peel.I put it on chicken and still had a bit leftover to use next time.

  2. I used this recipe for chicken and it turned out great! My spice shelf wasn't completely stocked and I didn't have italian seasoning, paprika or rosemary. I did have italian seasoned bread crumbs and I used 3 teaspons to substitute. I rubbed it on, browned my chicken, added in some cream of mushroom soup and peas and served it over egg noodles. Delish!!!!! Very fragrant when cooking.
