From a McCormick/Shilling recipe card, 1988. Simple, but I didn't think of it!
Make and share this Herb Butter for Fish Fillets (Flounder) Baked or Broiled recipe from Food.com.
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1⁄2 teaspoon tarragon
- 1⁄2 teaspoon chives, freeze dried
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 lb fish fillet
- Mix the lemon juice, tarragon, chives and the melted butter.
- Pour over the fish and either bake or broil to your liking. You could bake at 350 degrees F. for about 8 minutes (depending upon thickness of the fish).
This was simple and delicious! My picky six year old declared that she loved it - that gives it five stars to me!
Our fish was basa and I used fresh chives and sage leaves plus sliced up a couple of garlic cloves. Awesome.
Very good, I used cod, turned out lovely, buttery and we like the tarragon flavour. I will make it again , thanks for posting. Perhaps you would like to add an oven temperature to the instructions, I baked it at 350f degrees for about 8 minutes, it was quite a thick piece.
