  1. Cream butter, shortening, and sugar. Add one egg at a time, beating after each addition. Sift together all dry ingredients. Mix dry and wet, alternating with milk. Add vanilla. Pour into a 12-cup greased and floured tube or bundt pan.
  2. Bake at 325° for 1 hour or until cake tests done.
