I found this recipe on the back of the Carnation milk can. I have a fussy family and this is a nice meal that everyone can enjoy.

  1. Combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan and butter in a bowl and set aside.
  2. Heat oil in large saucepan over medium heat; cook onion about 2mins or until softened.
  3. Add chicken; cook 5 minutes or until lightly browned.
  4. Add potatoes mixed vegetables and seasonings.
  5. Cook for 10 minutes; stirring occasionally. Stir together evaporated milk and cornstarch in a bowl.
  6. Stir into vegetable mixture, bring to a boil;stirring.
  7. Reduce heat to med-low; cover and cook 10 minutes (or until vegetables are tender and sauce has thickened) stirring often.
  8. Pour into 8-inch baking dish, sprinkle with breadcrumb mixture.
  9. Broil 5 minutes or until golden brown.

This was ok However I thnk that the cream base would be great for a chicken ala king type dish. It would need more of the cream base though. I will make again as chicken ala king.

Too dry. Won't make again, back to my old recipe. Thanks anyway.

This was wonderful. Instead of frozen mixed veggies, I used fresh green beans, fresh carrots, fresh celery and a can of corn. I just served it from the pot, rather than putting it in the oven with breadcrumbs.
