Simple, uncomplicated, and very filling. I used 4 bouillon cubes and didn't need to add additional salt. Added 1 teaspoon chili powder and 1/2 teaspoon pepper. My point calculator says 1 serving is 1 WW pt, although I think I ate more than 1 serving :-)Thanks Dreamgoddess.
A very good recipe! I added one medium potato .. My husband liked it as well .. thanks!
I woke up to a rainy day, and decided this would be a perfect dinner. And, it was! I forgot to pick up any celery, so I left it out, and I added zuccini and broccoli (stems and flowers) to the crockpot after about 5 hours of cooking. The carrots could have cooked a bit longer, but every other ingredient was done just right. At first, I didn't add any pepper, and thought the stew was lacking flavor. However, a few dashes of black pepper woke it right up, and it was delicious. Thanks for an easy recipe that can be so easily modified! PS: I used 2 cups of chicken broth, and thought the amount of broth was perfect.
This was really good, until my hubby let it burn. He left it on the whole time I was at work, but lucky for me I had some before I left. It is great. I had some of the burned stuff too, and even that wasn't too bad! Substitued cumin and cayenne for the chili powder, since I was out. Loved it, and it's low in WW points too! Thanks for the great recipe, and I will make it again!
This was nice! I used 4 bouillon cubes, and added a little frozen corn and some peas. I didn't know how much salt, pepper, and chili powder to add, so I put a few dashes in during the beginning and tested them when it was done. I needed to add a lot more pepper and chili powder for flavor. (I didn't want the "crockpot" flavor I often get, how everything tastes the same...) I also put a dash or so of garlic powder. Next time, I'll definately stick with this recipe but just not cook it the crockpot way- probably just stove top (and change the procedure accordingly.) Well, it turned out good, and yes- it smelled great while cooking! It didn't serve 10, only 6. (which was fine!) Thank you for posting a nice recipe that gets in lots of veggies!
Wow Shelly, this was delicious! And it smelled soooo good while it was cooking! I added some sliced zucchini and some sliced yellow squash. I like the spice that the chili powder adds. Very easy to put together, this is definitely a keeper! Thanks for sharing!
