Healthy Sweet Penguins (Grapes and Italian Plums)

I love penguins, theyre my favourite animals, so Ive always wanted to make those cute edible penguins. However I dont like olives and dont eat marshmallows, so I never found a recipe I could make. One day I simply came up with my own-it uses grapes and Italian plums and is a healthified version of an old classic. I hope you enjoy it!

Gotta admit that I have a posted recipe for making the olive-&-carrot penguins & they're always well received when I make them, so when I saw your recipe, I just knew I had to try it! Absolutely a BIG HIT, too! Come time for me to host another one of my monthly meetings, I'm definitely gonna include these on the finger food counter! We love your version, & I actually made up 13 of 'em just to get in a little practice!   1. To make the penguins body, slit open the Italian plums lenghtwise, but do not cut them through. Using your fingers widen the slit and using a knife cut out some of the flesh if necessary. If youre really carefull you might be able to remove the pit. I didnt do this, though.
  2. Now use a teaspoon to stuff the plum with the cream cheese. Wipe the penguins belly with a kitchen towel afterwards.
  3. To assemble the penguins head stick one sunflower seed into each grape to make the beak. Then cut eyes into the grape (tiny vs look like eyes).
  4. Now break a toothpick in half and stick it into the plum. On top of that stick the grape.
  5. As a finishing touch place the penguin onto two pumpkin seeds, these will be the feet.
