Great recipe. I am on my second batch now. This last time I ran out of chicken bouillon so I subbed in a little beef to finish out the 1/4 cup called for and it was still good. I ran across this recipe in the 1990's but I had forgotten about it until I saw it here again. I won't go back to the salt and fat in Campbell's. I know what is in this soup. Thanks much.
Fantastic recipe! Came in very handy when I realized I didn't have a can of soup on me. I didn't have any powdered milk so I used evaporated milk and it worked wonderfully!! Definitely a keeper!
This is what I have been looking for. I always have some in stock. I will never go back to Campbells again. I love being able to control the sodium by using no salt boullion (which isn't always easy to find), so I can still fix our favorite dinners using Canned soup just without all the salt, and the kids don't miss it at all. We are all happy. Thank you so much for sharing.
I make alot of my own spice mixes and seasonings. I was glad to add this to my list,I will never have to run to the store for a cream soup again. Thank U for listing this recipe...
Used this in One Dish Chicken and Rice Bake today and was very pleased! Much more appealing looking than the canned variety and undoubtedly healthier! Also, much easier to keep the dry ingredients on hand than the cans! I will definitely be using this again!
I cant remember the recipe I used this in, but it turned out great. Now I dont havta use or keep the canned stuff on hand.
I have made this several times. It is a great substitute for canned cream of chicken soup. I have also added mushrooms and used it as a substitute for cream of mushroom soup. I have not tried it yet but you could add some chopped celery and maybe some celery seed and substitute for canned cream of celery soup. My husband has celiac disease and this works great for his gluten free diet.

I scaled it back for 2 cans worth b/c I was short on corn starch, and that's all I needed anyway for my Black Eyes of Texas casserole for good luck today. It worked perfectly! Not too shabby! I really don't enjoy using canned cream of whatever soups, the consistency of them just really turns me off. So I was really pleased to find this recipe, and I used it to make No Cheese Whiz Broccoli Rice Casserole #105080. One thing to remember; when you use this mix, you're pretty much removing all salt (and the flavor it provides) from the dish you're making, so you might want to adjust accordingly. That said, I'm pretty sure I'll be using this recipe again. Thanks!
