Quinoa flakes make a nice change from porridge in the mornings. Adding crunchy seeds with sweet banana and maple to this fabulous grain/protein really sets you up for winter mornings ahead.

  1. Mash the banana.
  2. Place everything in a small saucepan, bring to the boil and stir continuously for a couple of minutes (the more you stir the creamier the porridge).
  3. Serve drizzled with maple syrup and extra milk.
  4. Note: recipezaar calculates 'quinoa'. 'Quinoa flakes' are lighter(and without the associated bitterness that is experienced by newcomers) reducing the calories to 534 per person.
