Greek yogurt cuts out a LOT of calories in this recipe. You can substitute pretty much any other liquid for the orange juice - I also like this with grapefruit juice. Shared by one of the ladies I work with.
- 1 (18 ounce) box white cake mix
- 1 (6 ounce) containerplain non-fat Greek yogurt
- 1 cup orange juice
- zest from one orange
- powdered sugar, for dusting if desired
- In a large mixing bowl, combine cake mix, yogurt, orange juice and orange zest. Pour batter into a greased 8 x 8 inch square pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes. Dust with powdered sugar, if desired.
My sister made this exact cake for Mother's day .<br/> It is the most moist, tastiest cake I've had in a long time! And there is no need for frosting. It's great "as is".
