      Cut SPAM into strips or diced.

      Slice half a round onion and one medium cabbage thinly.
    3. 3
      Chop one clove of garlic.
    4. 4
      Heat sesame oil in pot.

      Add SPAM & all other ingredients.

      Cook until cabbage is done.

      Serve over rice.

      I didn't know this was a Hawaiian thing! I used to make this all the time before I got married (husband isn't a spam or cabbage fan), best meal ever.

      Upped my star rating to 5 because this is a go-to meal for us. It's cheap and easy and the whole family loves it. I now make it with kosher hotdogs, since we are keeping kosher now. I just slice them up and do everything else the same. Its not exactly the same in flavor but its close enough. Leftovers are good in a sandwich wrap or on a bun too. Origional review follows: Love this. The only thing I did different was add a heaping spoon of Hosin sauce to the mix. Next time I am going to cook the spam first until it gets brown around the edges and then remove and cook the rest of it then add the spam at the end. I just like my spam a little crisp around the edges. Very good, thank you for posting. I'll be making this again. I served it with jasmine rice and everyone from 7-42 loved it :-)
