Made this for a family Christmas get together and really enjoyed it. Left out the coconut and used 2 bags of the shredded cabbage and carrot mix. Great taste. Different twist on the normal coleslaw. Would make again.

Amazing! I ended up using miracle whip (didn't have any mayo) and sweetened coconut but it was delicious! My whole family loved it - I will definitely be making this again!

Made this for a friend's picnic, and was SHOCKED by the response. Friends that never say much about food actually found me at the party to tell me how good it was and get the recipe. I would not only make it again, but I highly recommend it. I used fresh pineapple, and since I could only find sweetened coleslaw I used that. Otherwise I followed the recipe as shown.FANTASTIC!!

I'm mainly rating this on how fast it went in my party than my personal opinion. I just got a small bite when I was making it to taste it, but it was gone within 5 minutes of serving it. Everyone raved about it and several people said they liked it best out of all the other 3 salads that were served. I used the pre-packaged cole slaw, canned crushed pineapple and didn't add the coconut because I couln't find flaked unsweetened coconut and didn't feel like grating a fresh one. Thank you!

I wasn't too sure about this recipe - cabbage and pineapple? But had some fresh pineapple I needed to use, plus my DH loves coleslaw. Had to use raw almonds, but this was super good. I will be making it often.

Great salad! I used crushed canned pineapple and could only find sweetened coconut. I added the macadamia nuts and I think they really top off the salad. I made it for a hawaiian night. We ate it with Chicken curry and white rice. Everyone loved the sweetness of this coleslaw.

Yum! I made this recipe for 80 people for a Hawaiian wedding. The main dish was a pig roast so the hawaiian coleslaw was a perfect compliment to the menu.

Wow! What a delightfully refreshing change from your run-of-the-mill coleslaw! It was a perfect addition to our Hawaiian-themed party. I used the packaged coleslaw mix and used canned chunks of pineapple. It was a hit and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is planning a Hawaiian feast! It's a real keeper! Thanks for sharing Geema!

Served with Kalua Pork, was one of the best coleslaws I have tasted. I got lots of compliments on it.

This is a nice change from the usual coleslaw. I did not add the raisins as I had none but it was still good. I did use the fresh pineapple. Also used cashews instead of macadamia as I have a severe allergy to them. It was still good. Will make this again.

This was amazing! So delicious. I made it for my Christmas Dinner. Was so impressed with the flavor meld. Definitely use fresh pineapple for this one. Yumm-o!

I just used the packaged slaw mix with shredded carrots already in them. I also used half yogurt/half mayo. This was quite different, I loved it! I can see this being a great bringalong.

Took this to a family cookout and we liked the freshness of this slaw. I will use canned pineapple the next time for a little more sweetness - personal preference. I didn't have macadamia nuts so I used chopped pecans. A nice variation of the usual coleslaw. Thanks, Carole in Orlando

Very good! I made 2 versions of this. My dh does not like cabbage or mayonnaise. So I made some for him with just the carrot, pineapple, coconut, raisins & macadamia nuts. I added the rest of the ingredients to mine. We both enjoyed it very much. This was very refreshing. Thank you very much!

This was a very refreshing summer salad. Made it for my parent's 45th anniversary party this week end and everyone wanted the recipe. I doubled the amount of coleslaw (two bags) and although I forgot the recipe at home I tried to wing it. I used a whole fresh pineapple, 3/4 cup of sweetened coconut, 3/4 cup of raisins, 3/4 cup of macadamian nuts but forgot the salt and because I couldn't remember the amount of mayo, I used only one cup. It was really good. Thank you for sharing.

Very good! Used regular raisins instead of the golden ones and it was very yummy! It was a big hit at my Luau Party.
