This drink comes from "Trader Vic's Book of Food and Drink" published in 1946. It is probably out of print and contains some interesting drinks from La Florida Bar in Havana, many of Trader Vic's original libations and some teriffic Polynesian recipes. If you see it in a used book store grab it!!

Ingredients Nutrition

  1. Combine ingredients in a mixing glass with ice cubes and stir until chilled (shaken in a martini shaker may also work).
  2. Strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish with a maraschino cherry.
  3. Twist a lemon peel over the drink but do not drop.

Thank you for the recipe and reminding me that I have "Trader Vic's" book from 1946. I had forgotten all about it. It has lots of great drink recipes. Thanks again!
