Oh boy,oh boy,just lovely! I had forgotten about american hash and enjoyed fixing it and eating it.When I lived in the States I sometimes made it also with 1/2 potatoes and 1/2 beets and ofcourse the fried egg on top! Thank you very much for this recipe,will make it regular.

This dish is what hash is all about! Simple, easy, delish and a great way to use up leftover beef or pork roast and also leftover smoked or boiled ham. We also like it topped with eggs and a side of buttered grits.

This is an old standby favorite of mine. I add a fried egg to top it off in the Scandinavian style - with or without the egg it tastes great.
