Wow! This is like Chicken Cordon Bleu taken to the next level! Great combination - very tasty. I served with rice and steamed broccoli for a very nice meal.
Very tasty! The only substitute I made was white wine instead of sherry. It was delicious. I also tied the chicken instead of using toothpicks but wished that I didn't because it was hard to get to the string after it was cooked! :) I made this for Went To Market. Thanks!
I served this tonight for dinner and my DH loved it. In fact, he indicated he would have enjoyed it without the sauce as well, which might be helpful in reducing prep time on a week night. I am a big fan of prosciutto and gruyere, so this was a winner in our house! I did not have sherry, and used Madiera Wine instead.
This is a terrific meal to serve guests - a definite hit at my dinner party last night! They ate it all and sopped up all they "gravy". Easy to prepare and worth the wait! Thank you for a perfect entertaining or anytime you want to feel pampered recipe! ** My guests also compared this to a cordon blue but said they liked this MUCH better as they thought the flavors were more elegant.
Made 4 portions of this wonderful chicken! Loved the prosciutto with the gruyere! And the sauce was sooooooo good!! Thanks Kim127 for a delicious chicken recipe!!! The only change I made was to use white wine instead of sherry.
Excellent! Baked the chicken in the oven as directed, removed the chicken, deglazed the pan and made the sauce in the same pan, separate from the chicken. Will definitely make again!
Excellent! And looked so good! The sauce is amazing and works so well with the different cheese flavours. A definite keeper, thanks Kim!
