This is a tasty Moroccan stew recipe handed to me by a friend. Super simple, very tasty!

Definitely simple and easy to make. I found the flavor a little mild for my taste; I might use chicken or beef stock in the future. I assume the recipe calls for canned diced tomatoes and not fresh. Should it be simmered covered or uncovered? (I assumed covered.)

  1. Fry onions in oil until lightly browned.
  2. Add shallot, garlic, onion, spices, lentils, tomatoes and vegetable stock.
  3. Simmer for 30 minutes.
  4. Add chickpeas.
  5. Simmer for 30 minutes.
  6. Enjoy!
