This is one option to finish off a traditional Christmas pudding


  1. Cream butter and icing sugar until light and almost white.
  2. Slowly drizzle in brandy continuing to beat.
  3. Serve with hot Christmas pudding.

This is how my family has always made it, going back to before my grandmother's time. I tend to use different types of alcohol for a change - rum, Southern Comfort, Drambuie are all great. It is delicious on mince pies too.
