Too little flavoring oil for the amount of sugar listed. I'm glad I checked other recipes to be sure!

  1. Heat sugar, water and Karo to 290 degrees.
  2. Remove from heat, add flavoring and food coloring.
  3. Drizzle in thin rows onto cookie sheets lined with foil and covered with sifted confectioners' sugar.
  4. Cool.
  5. Crack to size and store in covered container.
