Here is another tweak to this recipe! Place the breasts or thighs in a zip lock bag in the morning with the orange juice and maple syrup. Shake a few times and leave in the frig all day. Drain the chicken, save the marinate. Cover the chicken with panko crumbs by rolling in a crumb filled pan, bake as stated. Slice 2 sweet potatoes or yams with skin on and place in the reserved marinate. Place in a greased baking pan so the vegies are laid in one layer with the marinate. Dot with butter and cover and bake the same time as the chicken.

I had to try this to see if it was just as good as the recipe it was based on, and you know what, it is! As I was already using an orange to get the juice I decided to zest it as well and add the zest to the sauce. Lovely flavor, thanks for the tweak!

A wonderfully easy chicken with a mild yet delightful flavor that takes nothing to make, we thought it paired extremely well with Orange Rice With Peas and Pearl Onions. I made as written chilling for 2 hours and cutting the recipe in half which worked out perfectly. We will be enjoying this again as it made such a nice dinner. Thanks for the post.

There's an old saying that just because you CAN do something, it doesn't mean that you SHOULD...The same could be said for this orange maple combination! The original recipe that this is allegedly 'tweaked' from is called Mirj's Boozy Maple Chicken #144853...Mirj's original, IMO, is far superior to this 'orange maple' concoction which we didn't like AT all...We'll be making Mirj's Boozy Maple Chicken #144853 instead from now on!
