- Mix beef with salt and pepper.
- Divide into 8 portions and gently shape and flatten into patties 3 inches by 1/4 inch.
- Slice green pepper, onions and tomato into rings.
- Place one slice of each on four patties.
- Cover with remaining patties sealing them on all sides by pressing two meat layers together.
- Broil about 3 inches from heat on each side for 10 to 12 minutes.
