"This soup is full of flavor, so good to curl up with. Makes a hearty supper with french bread. A cup of small pasta can be added the last 15 minutes of cooking."

  1. I added a cup of corn at last 10 min. of cooking and also some pasta noodles. Verry tasty. I think maybe some garden peas would be good also.

  2. Very good soup. I did not drain the hamburger after cooking it and even though I used lean ground beef it was still a bit fatty. Next time I wll drain it after cooking it. Otherwise this was an excellent soup. There was enough to freeze for "afters." Thanks MizzNezz

  3. I made this Sunday and it was pretty good. But, I had some for lunch the next day and it was very good! It definitely is much better the next day. I followed recipe exactly, except I substituted ground turkey for the hamburger. Very good! Thank you for the recipe!

  4. I cut down on the celery and used abt.2 cups shredded cabbage. Had some mushrooms, so added 1c. sliced the last 10 min. Everyone loved it! Can be adjusted to what types of veggies you have on hand.

After DH and I moved away from the farm, and to the city...I haven't done as much cooking and very little canning. But I do come to Zaar and look for new recipes once in a while. I'm still cooking Zaar!! I like to play at Facebook, with my family and friends. A lot of my Zaar friends are there!! Yay! It's a good way to keep in touch. We travel more. We're looking at the European trips now. Hope to go in the springtime. I really want to see London, I think I lived there in a past life, I've been obsessed with it since I was 10 years old!!
