Just an up-date. Still 5 stars, wish it could be 10. Can't tell you how many times I've made this. Don't change or add a thing!. It's perfect. But you know what is hilarious? I DON'T LIKE stroganoff!!! But this, I eat til I'm feel like I'm going to burst!. It's FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!

Just finished cooking and enjoying this recipe. The preparation was quick and easy and the flavor was very good. A non-onion lover might want to back down on the onion portion as that is quite pronounced. A definite do-again recipe.

I made this for our dinner tonight and it was so good, easy and quick!!! I did add a whole package of dry onion soup and cut back on the amount of raw onion. I think next time I will cut back on the amount of milk as I thought the amount called for made it a bit too thin. I served over egg noodles with a salad. This is one that I will make again and again. Thnx for sharing!

This is the same recipe my Mom made when I was growing up and the one I make now, it is delicious, I add a can of mushrooms to it, my mom likes to eat this on chow mein noodles.

We had this for dinner last night. Boy Oh!! We all thought it was delicious. Well seasoned and rich. I served it over large egg noodles. Just good ole comfort food at its finest. Thanks Ruth :)

Ruth, this is what hamburger stroganoff should be! I took my cue from others who said "too oniony", so I used only 1 Tblsp. of the dry onion soup mix and chopped only half a small onion - perfect for us. I minced 3 fat cloves of garlic and only added about 3/4 the amount of the sour cream called for - seemed like too much to use the whole carton. It turned out thick, rich and flavorful. My DH loved it. I served it over extra wide egg noodles. Will make again - thanks!

This was very tasty. The best thing is that my kids like it!!! It is so hard to find things that please everyone in the family. I did add one extra item... a clove of garlic (Yum!).

I've been making something similar for 50 years. We always really liked it, but adding Worcestersire Sauce and paprika put it over the edge - awesome. Thanks for the recipe.

Very very good Edited to add-I think this has a bit too much onion in it so next time I make it I will make without the onion and with 1 1/2 T of the onion soup mix. I don't like onions tho, and can be sensitive to their taste so that may be it. It is still very good and very easy to make.

Very good for a quick dinner. Simple everyday ingredients. Liked it better than other stroganoff recipes that I have tried. Will definetely make again.

I fixed this recipe tonight and my husband & I loved it!!! It was so easy and so good. I did add canned mushrooms to the hamburger & onions while it was cooking. I served it over wide egg noodles. I had some stroganoff leftover so tomorrow night I plan on putting it over white or brown rice. I am sending the recipe to my kids and I know they will love it also.

Great job on this recipe. It was very easy and tasted yummy! The whole family loved it. I did reduce the onions as someone else suggested, but other than that, I followed the recipe to a T. If you're looking for a very easy, yet very tasty supper, then this is it.

My stroganoff hating son loved this! I didn't have any paprika, but it was still very good. Will definitely make again!
