I used to make this exact soup back in the 60's, but it kind of got "lost" over the years. It was one of my favorites! I'm going shopping when the weather allows me out and I will be stocking up my freezer with 2 cup portions to get me through to Spring. I thank you for posting it.

  1. Brown meat and onions. Drain well. Combine all ingredients in a large pot. Cook at least 2 hours or use crock pot and cook up to 8 hours.
