Have not tried this, but it sounds like it would be super easy for a quick meal. All the fixins for a burger combined with garlic and onion sauteed ground beef. Serve on a toasted bun and top with a fresh lettuce leaf.
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 medium tomatoes, chopped
- 1⁄2 cup mayonnaise
- 1⁄3 cup chopped dill pickle
- 2 tablespoons prepared mustard
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon pepper
- 6 hamburger buns, split and toasted
- lettuce leaf
- In a skillet, cook beef, onion and garlic until meat is browned.
- Drain and cool mixture.
- Add the next six ingredients.
- Spoon about 1/2 cup onto each bun.
- Top with lettuce and serve.
These are good! Made this for OAMC. Wrapped individually, and placed in freezer bag. My only change was using Miracle Whip, as mayo does not freeze well. We'll be adding the tomato and lettuce after heating in the microwave. Thanks for posting!
I really enjoyed this. I have never had anything like it and found it to be a great alternative to burgers. I think these would have a wide appeal to people of different tastes. My 7 yr. old DS and my mom both loved them. Thanks for posting Marie.
Brings back a lot of memories! This was a staple at any family picnic or reunion we used to have. It's a great cool meal on a hot day! Especially for picnics! We sometimes add some diced boiled eggs into it! Yumm! Thanks for posting this!
