Hamburger Pie

"This is a recipe my mother made for me as a child. It's comfort food for the family. I have no idea where it came from, but I'm betting BHG or General Mills. Though I've not tried yet I'll bet premade pie crust would cut the time quite a bit."

I am married to a beautiful wife and we have two beautiful children (ages 3 and 5). I love to cook whenever I have the chance. Problem is, so does my wife, so we wrestle over the chance often! We both work (social services with teenagers) so slow cooker recipes are common. In the summer I love to grill as often as possible. I do not usually do side dishes or desserts, my abilities with desserts especially are limited. My wife on the other hand is great with them. I love gardening, planting every spring. I focus on a variety of the easier veggies (tomatoes, okra, squash, etc.) and heavily on hot peppers (habeneros, serrano, etc.). It is "therapy" for me, working in the garden. I love the outdoors.<img src="http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j166/ZaarNicksMom/PACsticker-Adopted.jpg">
